Bath Recipes to Promote Wellness


Baths are nature’s way of relaxing us and making us feel better. After a stressful day at work a hot bubble bath always feels good. This not only relaxes us but also takes the stress of the day away. Soaking in a tub of hot water relives anxiety, emotional fatigue and tension. Add whole herbs to the water for added comfort and relaxation. Next time you feel stress try one of these bath recipes:

A Bath For Emotional Balance:


  • ½ Cup dried orange peel or ½ who fresh orange, sliced
  • 3 Pounds dried jasmine flowers
  • 2 Pounds dried sandalwood chips


  • Mix all ingredient together
  • Divide into 6 separate bottles
  • Fill your bathtub with hot water
  • Add 1 bottle into your bathwater
  • Sit back, soak, relax, and enjoy

Next time you are feeling a bit overwhelmed remember a bath can be extremely good medicine. Try whole herbs like jasmine, juniper, lavender, orange, rose, sandalwood, and rosemary. This recipe makes 6 baths. Divide the ingredients and store in airtight glass bottles.

A Sleep Inducing Bath


  • 4 Pounds dried chamomile
  • 3 Pounds dried lemon balm
  • 2 Pounds dried passionflower
  • 1 Pound dried valerian


  • Mix all ingredient together
  • Divide into 12 separate bottles
  • Fill your bathtub with hot water
  • Use 1 bottle for tub of hot water
  • Sit back, soak, relax, and enjoy

Stress is keeping you up and night and you cannot fall to sleep. A hot bath with the right herbs can help you drift right off to sleep. Different herbs help to relax you and allow you to fall off to sleep. Try changing your herbs in this recipe. Relaxation herbs to help you sleep are: hops, chamomile, lemon balm, marjoram, valerian, sandalwood, and passionflower.

Anti-sorrow Bath


  • 1 Ounce sweet almond oil
  • 10 Drops marjoram
  • 5 Drops clary sage
  • 5 Drops cypress or rosemary
  • 1 Drop hyssop
  • 1 Drop Melissa or lemon


  • Run the bathtub full of hot water
  • Add the ingredients to your hot water
  • Mix well
  • Sit back, soak, relax, and enjoy

When you are felling sorry for yourself a bath of herbs is what you need. The combination of herbs relaxes you and relives the sorrow you are feeling. Sorrow has lead to depression. Before depression sets in soak in a hot tub of herbal bath oils and soak your sorrows away.

Balancing Bath Oil


  • 4 ounces red turkey oil
  • 3 ounces grape seed oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Kukui nut oil
  • 1 Tablespoon hazelnut oil
  • 20 Drops vitamin E oil
  • 180 Drops essential oils
  • 1 8 ounce bottle for storage


  • Choose 3 or 4 oils: Bergamot, Frankincense, Geranium, Lavender, Palma rose, Rose, and Rosewood
  • Add 3 drops of each oil of your choice
  • Mix all ingredients in 8 ounce bottle
  • Store in refrigerator for longer shelf life

When you feel a little out of balance or just having an off day this mixture will calm and relax you. Pour a few drops of the herbal bath oil into your tub of hot water. Soak, relax, and enjoy the feeling that is coming over you as the herbs soak into your skin.
